Fancy running with the 6 in 6 marathon runners?

Route for epic ultra in aid of The Light Fund confirmed – and you can join them.

With their epic challenge set to begin on April 18, the route has been confirmed for the brave industry trio who are tackling six marathons in six days for The Light Fund.

Jason Easy and Katie Ball from BBC Worldwide and Ben Lowe from Roy Lowe & Sons are also inviting any interested parties to join them for up to 13 miles on any of the first five days of the challenge.

On the sixth day – Sunday, April 23 – the challenge will culminate with the London Marathon.

While some tweaks are still to take place, the schedule looks something like this:

  • Day 1 (April 18) – Birmingham (Bordesley) to Leamington Spa (Sydenham)
  • Day 2 (April 19) – Leamington Spa (Sydenham) to Weedon Bec
  • Day 3 (April 20) – Weedon Bec to Milton Keynes (Springfield)
  • Day 4 (April 21) – Milton Keynes (Springfield) to Berkhamsted
  • Day 5 (April 22) – Berkhamsted to London

The latest team training run took place in Blackpool ahead of The Light Fund event on March 23rd (pictured). Jason and Katie notched up 15 miles – including four miles along the beach at sunset – while Ben did a steady seven miles in light of a slight injury.
