I Like Birds flying high with new licensee brace

Quadrille Publishing and My Gifts Trade join licensing programme for design brand.

JELC continues to build up the licensing programme for design brand I Like Birds, confirming a brace of new partners.

Quadrille Publishing has signed up to develop a range of covering jotter pads, address books, boxed notecards and notebooks.

The range is due to launch in April 2018 in the UK, Australia and other parts of the world and in July 2018 in the US through distribution partner, Chronicle Books.

Meanwhile, My Gifts Trade will be developing a range of I Like Birds mugs and other gifting, along with household textiles to be launched at Spring Fair 2018.

Stuart Cox, joint founder and creator of I Like Birds, said: “Having made an impact on greeting cards in retailers such as Paperchase and independents and Browntrout Publishing in Europe launching a range of calendars shortly which will be going into several key retailers and garden centres, it’s great to see the brand going from strength to strength.

“Given the adaptability of our designs, giftware and stationery were some of the key categories highlighted for licensing and we’re delighted to be working with such excellent partners as Quadrille and My Gifts Trade.”

Jane Evans, md of JELC, added: “From the time we first saw I Like Birds as a finalist in the License This competition at BLE 2016, we’ve always believed it had the originality, quality and commercial potential to take it to a whole new level.”
