Ben 10 enjoying highest global reach to date

New TV series notches up global reach of 178 million individuals in Q2 2017.

Cartoon Network’s new-look Ben 10 series has notched up its highest global reach to date.

The new show – which premiered across EMEA and Asia Pacific last October, followed by the US and Latin America in April – scored a global reach of 178 million individuals in Q2 2017.

The news comes as Ben 10 is set to make its German free to air debut on Super RTL today (September 4).

Patricia Hidalgo, chief content officer, Turner EMEA & International Kids Strategy, commented: “Ben 10 is reaching more fans around the world than ever before and we’re excited that the show will be propelled even further with its imminent launch on Super RTL.

“Alongside the show’s growing number of free-to-air channel homes, we’re excited to be bringing a host of new Ben 10 content to fans – including the first wave of toys, new apps and games and our EMEA local production Ben 10 Challenge, which will be launching in key markets including Germany from October.”

Johanne Broadfield, vp of Cartoon Network Enterprises EMEA, added: “Momentum around Ben is already extraordinary and our partners are as excited as we are about his arrival on Super RTL.

“We’re planning a full Ben 10 merchandise roll-out in Germany throughout 2018, and, with our master global toy partner Playmates already exceeding expectations at retail in the US and in the European countries where the product has just launched, we expect great things from this extremely important market.”

In addition to its premiere on Super RTL, Ben 10 has successfully launched on free to air channels CITV (UK), Gulli (France) and Boing (Italy) in EMEA. Cartoon Network recently announced that it had greenlit a second season of its all-new Ben 10 series, as well as a live-action gameshow, entitled Ben 10 Challenge, which is currently in production in Madrid, in eight languages (Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish and Turkish).
