Historic Royal Palaces welcomes Halcyon Days line

New collection includes fine bone china, enamelled cuffs and silk scarves.

Historic Royal Palaces has launched a new collection of fine bone china, enamelled cuffs and silk scarves with licensee Halcyon Days, which it is set to showcase at Brand Licensing Europe.

Inspiration has been taken from the Tudor splendour of Hampton Court Palace, including Henry VIII’s Astronomical clock, which remains one of the most significant late medieval clocks still working in Europe, and the Royal Beast statues situated in the palace’s Tudor designed Chapel Court Garden.

The Tower of London and the Yeoman Warders – the Tower’s ceremonial guardians – also feature across the collection.

A range of collectable ceramic baubles have been included for Christmas 2017, featuring designs inspired by the Crown Jewels, architectural drawings of Hampton Court Palace and a stained glass window in the palace’s Great Watching Chamber. Fine bone china mugs will also reference these designs.

Emma Saunders, head of retail business development at Historic Royal Palaces, said: “This latest collection from Halcyon Days yet again demonstrates their excellence in design and quality in craftsmanship. This brand partnership continues to enable us to share the rich history of the palaces in our care through reaching wider retail audiences.”

Pamela Harper, chairman and ceo of Halcyon Days, added: “We are incredibly excited to launch this new collection from our successful partnership with Historic Royal Palaces, which is now in its tenth year. The palaces provide a wealth of inspiration for our collections and we very much look forward to a continuing partnership.”

Historic Royal Palaces will be looking for new partners at Brand Licensing Europe covering beauty, bath and home fragrances, garden tools and accessories, stationery, tabletop, heritage food and drink.
