Little House on the Prairie eyes US licensing growth

Spotlight Licensing and Brand Management to handle consumer products drive.

The classic Little House on the Prairie brand is to grow its licensing activity in the US, with Spotlight Licensing and Brand Management coming on board to handle the programme.

Spotlight was appointed by Friendly Family Productions to manage the programme for the property, with the classic books having sold over 60 million copies in 100 countries.

The TV series has been on air continuously in the US since its original broadcast and, as well as airing on local stations, it is currently broadcast in the US on The Inspiration Network and Cozi TV.

Carole Postal, president of Spotlight Licensing and Brand Management, said: “Little House on the Prairie is a wholesome family brand that has become an indelible part of American culture.”

Trip Friendly, ceo of Friendly Family Productions, added: “We look forward to working with Carole and the Spotlight Licensing team to grow our Little House on the Prairie licensing programme with manufacturers and retailers who understand and embrace the brand’s core values of community, courage, optimism and the joys of a simpler life.”
