Kidtropolis NEC event hailed a success

Over 21,000 visitors head to Birmingham for sell out kids and family event.

The organisers of last week’s Kidtropolis event at Birmingham’s NEC have hailed it a success.

Over 21,000 visitors headed to the debut NEC show – which ran from April 6-8 and delivered a 99% success rate among children and parents.

Among the popular areas at the show was The Entertainer Unboxing Zone that featured YouTubers and unboxing of product lines from Flair, Hasbro and Spin Master.

The Nintendo Switch area was also packed throughout with a choice of games to play, along with the Shopkins Treat Truck, I-Top, Mega Magazine Roblox and Minecraft area and BRIO all of which offered the visitors free treats and activities.

There was also the chance to meet and greet a number of licensed characters including PAW Patrol, The Lorax, Stick Man, The Gruffalo, My Little Pony’s Twilight Sparkle and Masha.

Bryan Cooney, director at Kidtropolis, commented: “We are so thrilled with the feedback we’ve had from visitors. We have been astounded by the volume of thank you messages and incredible comments we’ve received. The team worked extremely hard to deliver our debut event at the NEC.

“Of course there are improvements which we will strive to deliver to ensure Kidtropolis is even more awesome next time. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our next show.”
