Habitat teases new fashion label tie-up

London-based label Shrimps to launch homeware collection with the retailer.

Following on from its successful collaboration with Henry Holland, Habitat has revealed its last fashion label tie-up.

The retailer is teaming with London-based label Shrimps – which became famous for its signature faux fur coats – to launch a new homeware collection.

Fashion United reports that Shrimps’ fashion designer, Hannah Weiland, was invited to translate her label’s style into a series of textile and artwork for the home.

The collection is mooted for launch in September.

The news comes as Sainsbury’s – which acquired Habitat in September 2016 – revealed that two new standalone stores are due to open this autumn.

Sainsbury’s is investing £1.5 million in the stores in Westfield London and Brighton, marking the first major investment in Habitat’s store portfolio for a decade.
