News extra: More licensing news from this week

Including Cartoon Network and Primark teaming up for a Rick and Morty collection.

The Source rounds up more news from the licensing industry across the globe from the week.

Cartoon Network Enterprises has partnered with Primark to launch an exclusive collection for Rick and Morty. The line spans menswear, womenswear, fashion accessories, homeware, drinkware and bedding, all featuring exclusive designs inspired by the characters from the series. It launches at Primark stores in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the US from January 13. The launch will be celebrated with 40 of Primark’s stores and window displays branded with Rick and Morty, as well as gifts with purchase and in-store competitions.

British menswear label Kent & Curwen – which is co-owned by David Beckham – has teamed with Endemol Shine Group to create a capsule collection inspired by Peaky Blinders. Classic three-piece tweed suits, signature collarless shirts, peg-leg wool trousers and flat caps – all in autumnal tones – will evoke the sartorial atmosphere of the era.

Ascot Racecourse and British menswear brand T.M Lewin have collaborated on a bespoke collection of men’s formalwear. The collection – which features three-piece and two-piece suits, jackets, trousers, shirts, ties and accessories – is inspired by flagship race meeting, Royal Ascot. It will launch in the spring, with the deal having been brokered by IMG.

The New Year marks a new beginning for Iron Gut Publishing, with the company evolving into Fanattik. Having launched in 2007 as a publisher of limited edition art prints, the company has expanded its portfolio of licences in recent years to include big names from the worlds of film and gaming. Working with the likes of 20th Century Fox, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Capcom and Microsoft, further licences are due to be announced shortly.

Koko Rose Media has teamed up with Ferly to develop its art and lifestyle brand Deer Little Forest across licensing in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland, as well as publishing across Europe (excluding the UK).

All American Licensing has secured a new deal with Chicken Soup for the Soul for new branded pet products. The new line will include traditional toys, collars and beds among other products.
