WBCP ramps up ahead of Batman v Superman launch

Raft of consumer products revealed ahead of movie premiere on March 25.

The global licensing programme for the hotly tipped Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has stepped up a gear – with Warner Bros. Consumer Products revealing a raft of product ahead of the film’s March 25 release.

Among the global partners are Mattel (action figures, vehicles, play-sets and collectable figures), LEGO (construction sets), Rubie’s (costumes and accessories for children and adults), Bioworld (apparel and accessories), Under Armour (sports high-end athletic wear) and Hallmark (gifts and novelties).

Additional toys, games and collectables partners for the brand include Funko; Thinkway Toys; Jakks Pacific; Tonner Dolls; Bandai America; Spin Master; and Buffalo Games.

There will also be detailed statues from Sideshow Collectibles; prop replicas from The Noble Collection; an 18-inch articulated figure from NECA; high-end replica Batmobiles from Soap Studios; and collectables from Hot Toys, Kotobukiya, SquareEnix, Medicom Toy, Prime 1 Studio and Union Creative.

The apparel side will be boosted by Junk Food, Converse, New Era Cap Company and Matchless London.

Publishers include Scholastic and Titan Books, while additional partners include Sakar International (electronics and accessories); PEZ Candy; General Mills (cereal) and Fetch for Cool Pets (pet accessories).

“As the most iconic super heroes come together for the first time ever on the big screen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we are thrilled to be partnering with licensees around the world to support the film,” said Diane Nelson, president of DC Entertainment, president, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and president and cco of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

Retail partners supporting Batman v Supermarket include Carrefour, H&M, Lidl and Primark. Local licensees for the UK – such as Sambro, Vivid, Jumbo, GB eye, Pyramid International, MV Sports and Propel – will also be releasing a flurry of product.
