Teletubbies ‘Say Eh-Oh’ on This Morning

Strong social media reaction helps put licensing industry in media spotlight.

An appearance by the Teletubbies on This Morning yesterday (Thursday May 9) has helped highlight the licensing industry within the wider media.

The fab four wowed viewers with an exuberant rendition of their 1997 number one single ‘Say Eh Oh’, with the performance promoting the Teletubbies’ appearance at CBeebies Land at Alton Towers Resort with the Teletubbies Big Band Live Show.

Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po danced around the whole studio during their performance to the delight of presenters Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, who enjoyed it so much that they joined in. The appearance was also adored by the audience at home who sent in pictures of their young children delighting in the song.

The performance also caused quite a buzz on social media, with Phil and Holly covering the appearance across their social channels. Holly posted a selfie of herself with the Teletubbies on her Instagram account, with 5.5million followers – to date the image has had 126K likes – and Phil posted a backstage video with the Teletubbies on Snapchat.

In addition, TheMailonline, Express and Metro all ran news stories on their websites.

Laura Brennan, brand manager at DHX Brands, said: “We are delighted to help promote the Teletubbies Big Band Live Show at CBeebies Land at Alton Towers Resort with this special appearance on This Morning.

“The performance could not have gone better and we are absolutely thrilled with the reaction on social and in the media.”
