Popeye’s Barbershop & Shave Company debuts

King Features continues character’s 90th anniversary celebrations with new range.

A new collection of grooming products is due to launch in celebration of Popeye’s 90th anniversary and the ‘American Dream’.

King Features Syndicate has unveiled Popeye’s Barbershop & Shave Company – a range of men’s grooming products including hair pomade, beard oil, beard balm, beard wash, shave cream, post-shave lotion and pre-shave oil.

All the products feature either Popeye or Brutus.

The launch of the brand is being supported with tin cans wrapped in custom Popeye and Brutus artwork for bricks and mortar stores, as well as die-cut stickers and window clings.

“The passion behind this Popeye range made this partnership an ideal alignment for the brand in its anniversary year,” said Carla Silva, vp and general manager, global head of licensing for King Features. “This unique grooming collection, featuring both Popeye and Brutus, celebrates the American tradition of barbershop culture in #PopeyeStrong fashion.”
