Bespoke Cartoon Network MRT train debuts in Singapore

Co-branded train will travel to 16 stations on the North East line for one month.

A bespoke Cartoon Network-branded MRT train has launched in Singapore for one month after the company secured a deal with Timezone.

The co-branded train – which has special Cartoon Network and Timezone artwork – will serve the North East Line, traveling to all 16 of its stations, from HarbourFront to Punggol.

The six carriages each include characters from We Bare Bears, Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls and Adventure Time, as well as calls to action for Cartoon Network channel and Timezone arcades messaging.

The special train will be running until July 16 and is expected to reach 1.5 million commuters.

“This very special train is sure to put a smile on every commuter’s face,” said Vikram Sharma, vp of Cartoon Network Enterprises is Asia Pacific. “Cartoon Network and Timezone make a great partnership. We both share a similar audience and the same motivation to ‘up the fun’ for kids, young adults and families in Singapore.”

In addition, Timezone will be launching Cartoon Network claw machines and tactical promotions in all of its Singapore outlets over the next 18 months.
