News extra: More licensing news from this week

Including Rocket Licensing revealing the first deals for Channel 4 hit comedy, Derry Girls.

The Source rounds up more news from the licensing industry across the globe from the week.

Rocket Licensing has revealed the first licensing agreements with hit Channel 4 comedy series, Derry Girls. For the UK and Eire, Park Agencies will produce a line of adult and kids’ t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies, while it is also planning an exclusive range of bags and mugs. Meanwhile, Danilo will create wall calendars, greeting cards, giftwrap and bags; Pyramid International will develop wall art, prints, drinkware and gift item; and Sports Co will produce a range of adult sports jerseys.

Blueprint Collections has teamed with National Geographic to produce a range of children’s stationery, bags and gift items for the UK market. The line includes notebooks, pencils, pens, sticky notes, erasers, pencil cases, backpacks, keyrings and umbrellas among other items. All items in the range will use minimal packaging and, where possible, either make reduced use of plastics or use recyclable materials. The range will arrive in February 2020.

The Laughing Cow has teamed with Label Chaussette, collaborating on a three-strong range of socks.

Italian boutique animation studio Enanimation has secured the rights to develop – globally and on all platforms – preschool publishing property, Olga the Cloud. For the new series in development – called Nina & Olga – the company has created a new character, Nina, who is a special friend of Olga and helps her cope with everyday challenges.

Factory Entertainment has revealed its latest limited edition prop replica. Available for pre-order, the James Bond Golden Gun limited edition prop replica is officially licensed by Danjaq and EON Productions. The replica can be assembled and disassembled into its machined metal, 18ct gold-plated component parts, like the original prop including fountain pen, lighter, cigarette case, cufflink and bullet.
