Sustainability in Licensing Conference ready for kick off

Two-day conference begins tomorrow (November 24) with speakers from LEGO, Kids Insights, Breakdown Plastic, Bambuu Brush and more.

Just one day remains until the inaugural Sustainability in Licensing Conference begins – with the two-day virtual conference set to welcome a plethora of executives from across the global licensing industry.

Day one (Tuesday November 24) will see speakers from companies including LEGO, Kids Insights, Breakdown Plastics, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Rapanui Clothing and Teemil Tech and R&A (The Open) Sustainable Sporting Events among others.

On top of this, a new addition to Tuesday’s line-up is Tommie Eaton, founder of Bambuu Brush who will take delegates through the company’s journey in creating a sustainable business with purpose.

“What Tommie has achieved in his business over the last 18 months is pretty phenomenal, and I’m looking forward to him sharing his story with us tomorrow,” said Helena Mansell-Stopher, conference director of SILC 2020.

Tommie told Source: “I’m super excited to have the opportunity to tell our story, talk about our purposeful products and our mission at SILC 2020 this week. As someone who is very new to the licensing world, I have only recently understood the full scope of the industry and it excites me to think of the potential positive impact SILC will create in regards to my passion, to combat plastic pollution and in sustainability in general.”

He continued: “Sustainability can be a very overwhelming subject for most, especially when education and knowledge aspects are not focal areas of an employee’s role. However, at Bambuu we genuinely believe in the power of one simple change through ‘Education, Inspiration and Empowerment’ and feel SILC has the platform to do just that for individuals and for the industry as a whole, all at the same time.

“We have an incredible opportunity to make real positive impacts for our planet right now, and it will amazing to look back at SILC 2021 to see what SILC 2020 has inspired individuals/businesses/organisations to do.”

The Sustainability in Licensing Conference 2020 will be taking place digitally across November 24-25. For more details on how you can sign up to attend SILC 2020, simply click on this link.
