Jewel Branding & Licensing expands with new division

Agency confirms merger of Artworks! Licensing and opening of Creative Services arm.

Jewel Branding and Licensing continues to expand, confirming an agency acquisition and the opening of a new creative services division.

The US-based company – which handles brands including the New York Botanical Garden, Rachael Hale, Lily & Val and Bouffants & Broken Hearts by Kendra Dandy among others – revealed the merger of Artworks! Licensing last week.

Artworks! Licensing was founded by Carol White in 2005 and has grown to a portfolio of artists who are already licensed in a wide range of product categories.

As part of the merger, Carol has joined Jewel Branding & Licensing as vp of art licensing and brings ten new artists to JBL’s client roster. Carol has enjoyed an extensive 25+ year career in art licensing as both an agent and licensee, with particular expertise in gift, stationery and home décor.

“We are thrilled to have Carol and her roster of clients join the JBL family,” said Julie Newman, ceo and founder of Jewel Branding & Licensing. “The merger has enabled us to further diversify our portfolio of designers and design based brands so that we continue to be a key resource for new and existing manufacturing and retail partners.”

Meanwhile, JBL’s creative services division aims to provide manufacturers and retailers with a suite of services and assets to streamline the design, development and go-to-market processes. It is spearheaded by licensing and design industry veteran, Meredith Counts.
