Rex London takes a trip with Transport for London

Rex London has collaborated with Transport for London on a unique collection of gifts and homeware, celebrating some of the most iconic images of London. The collaboration marks Rex London’s first licensed collection in over 10 years.

Reflecting the capital’s rich design heritage, the range will include more than 30 of the company’s best selling products, from stationery and kitchen accessories to their recycled jumbo bag.

The collection will celebrate TfL’s heritage poster designs, and will also showcase one of the most recognised maps in the world, the original London Tube map from 1933, designed by Harry Beck. As well as taking inspiration from TfL’s design history, Rex London will also be presenting their own original artwork featuring the iconic red Routemaster bus.

“I’m delighted to be teaming up with Transport for London to produce our first licenced range in over a decade,” commented Scott Clarke, head of sales and operations at Rex London. “It’s an iconic brand not only in our city, but around the world. As a company of Londoners, either lifelong or more recent, TfL is a part of our daily lives and it’s fantastic to be working with some of their heritage assets. Of course we have our own distinctive style as well, so couldn’t resist the temptation to produce a children’s range inspired by the classic Routemaster.”

Ellen Sankey, brand licensing manager at TfL, added: “We are excited to work with Rex London on a new transport-inspired collection. This new partnership, with such a well-known London based design company, is another example of how our brand’s heritage can be captured beautifully in a range of products.”

This collection adds to the diverse range of consumer products and experiences developed by TfL and its international licensing representative IMG, that brings the transport brand’s iconic identity and legacy to global audiences in unique and authentic ways.
