Star Wars Identities exhibition heads to London

New exhibition opens at The O2 on November 18, running until September 3, 2017.

A new Star Wars exhibition is heading to London this month, showcasing a collection of costumes, models, props and artwork from the franchise.

Star Wars Identities opens at The O2 on Friday November 18 and runs through until September 3, 2017.

Visitors will be able to follow the stories of Luke and Anakin Skywalker, from their origins on Tatooine, to friends and mentors they meet during adolescence, through the choices they make that will define them as adults.

Some 200 original costumes, props, models and pieces of artwork will be on display, spanning all six movies as well as the ongoing TV series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The exhibition will be grouped into three main sections – Origins, Influence and Choices. Visitors will learn how ten components – including species, genes, culture, events, occupation and values – affect identity.

Ten videos – one per component – have also been created, combining clips from Star Wars with animated graphics to explain how each one plays a part in shaping who ‘we’ are.

In addition, visitors will be invited to create their own personal Star Wars hero.

Equipped with a smart technology bracelet, each visitor will be given a series of identity questions at interactive stations throughout the exhibition.
