University Games celebrates 50 years of Rocky Horror Show

University Games will be doing the Time Warp again at this week’s Toy Fair (23-25 January), as it unveils a new Rocky Horror Show Board Game to mark 50 years of the pop culture phenomenon.

Available from February, players will first take on iconic characters from the show such as Brad, Janet, Magenta, Riff Raff or Frank N Furter himself, sing the songs, quote the famous one-liners and lyrics, take on the charades and dance the Time Warp’s famous moves.

For players age 14 years and over, the aim of the game is to be the first player to escape the castle.

“Rocky Horror Show is such a cult classic; it is a true phenomenon which has been watched by over a million people,” commented Gemma Lewington, marketing director at University Games. “The brand not only offers a fantastic planform for a fun and energised board game, but it also offers a huge built-in fan base that is relevant throughout a wide range of ages.

“The game, just like the show is nostalgic, ahead of its time, culturally ground-breaking and completely fearless. A must have for any vibrant family or friends’ games night, the only question is – will you dress up to play?”
