The parent company of Whistles and Hobbs, TFG London, is among those reportedly considering a bid for fashion and lifestyle brand, Joules.
The Industry.Fashion reported that, according to Sky News, TFG London had previously been in talks with Joules before its fall into administration on 16 November about taking a substantial stake in the business.
It is apparently now in negotiations with Interpath Advisory, which is handling the Joules’ administration.
Marks & Spencer, Next and Frasers Group are also said to be weighing up possible bids.
As well as its own channels, Joules is also available through Next, M&S and John Lewis.
“Joules is one of the most recognisable names on the high street, with a unique brand identity and loyal customer base,” commented Will Wright, head of restructuring at Interpath Advisory and joint administrator. “Over the coming weeks, we will endeavour to continue to operate all stores as a going concern during this vitally important Christmas trading period while we assess options for the Group, including a possible sale.
“Since the Group’s announcement, we have had an overwhelming amount of interest from interested parties. We will be working hard over the days ahead to assess this interest, but at this stage we are optimistic that we will be able to secure a future for this great British brand.”
