V&A unveils latest luxury licensed partnerships

Range of high-end new collaborations further bolster museum’s licensing campaign.

The V&A’s licensing programme continues to grow – with the museum unveiling high-end partnerships with a trio of licensees that specialise in items for the luxury market.

Darioush (US) is using Persian art from the V&A collections on the labels of its Darius II wine bottles, produced from grapes grown in its vineyards in the southern Napa Valley in California.

In addition, luxury jewellery specialist Kuwayama (Japan) has created a new range which aims to evoke the romantic themes of Victoria and Albert’s royal love story.

The Bless collection is inspired by a wallpaper design in the V&A archives, originally created by C.F.A Voysey for Queen Victoria’s Diamon Jubilee year.

Gold, diamonds and pink sapphires are combined to form a ring, necklace and earrings set, featuring the royal crown and rose motifs.

Finally, Rampley & Co (UK) has created a hand-rolled silk pocket square. The designs have been inspired by Victorian commemorative handkerchiefs and pieces from the V&A Europe 1600-1815 galleries.
