Transformers hits TV screens with Wilkinson Sword

TV ad spot stars Optimus Prime and has been directed by Michael Bay.

With Transformers: The Last Knight hitting the UK box office later this week, the brand has already been creating a storm on the small screen via a collaboration with Wilkinson Sword.

A TV ad spot has been running, highlighting both the movie and Wilkinson Sword’s limited edition collectable razors.

Directed by Michael Bay – the man behind all five of the Transformers movie – the ad shows the Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 transforming into ‘Hydrobot’ and bagging a fist bump from none other than Optimus Prime.

There are four collectable razors available, with the handles featuring characters including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Hound, plus Decepticon characters such as Megatron and Barricade.

The campaign is also running in the US, under the Schick brand name.
