Rubik’s & Pac-Man product mash up stars at BLE

Two iconic brands of 1980’s pop culture join forces for limited edition range.

Two of the most iconic pop culture brands from the 1980s – Rubik’s and Pac-man – are joining forces for a new limited edition product range.

Arriving at retail in 2018, a unique style guide has been created for licensees, paying homage to the two games.

Targeting a unisex demographic of teens and adults, the designs will encourage fans to #playagain.

The style guide includes retro-inspired designs updated for the digital generation with hashtag slogans.

With retail slated for late 2018, products will include apparel, accessories, novelties, gift, stationary and promotions.

The full range was launched on the Bandai Namco stand yesterday (Tuesday October 10) at Brand Licensing Europe, where it showcased the full range of opportunities for the co-creation to the trade for the first time.

The deal was brokered by Lori Heiss Tiplady of Rubik’s master licensee The Smiley Company, and Shuhei Hokari of Bandai Namco.
