Half Moon Bay shows eco-friendly credentials

Licensee collaborating with Huskup on eco-friendly Harry Potter travel mugs.

Gift licensee Half Moon Bay has teamed up with eco-friendly coffee cup brand Huskup for a new collaboration.

A range of eco-friendly Harry Potter travel mugs will launch in September.

Half Moon Bay originally teamed with Huskup earlier this year, distributing its 12 original designs.

Huskup’s travel mugs are made of rice husk; combining the usually-burnt bi-product of rice milling with a natural starch creates a strong, resilient material which prevents tonnes of waste going to landfill.

The four Harry Potter designs showcase iconic artwork from the franchise – including everyone’s favourite house-elf Dobby and the Marauder’s Map – while letting the natural colour of the rice husk show through.

Each cup is presented in a Forestry Managed stock gift box and finished with a recyclable silicone lid and sleeve, providing comfort and protection from hot drinks on the go.

Richard Milton, owner of Huksup, commented: “I’m excited to be working with such a loved franchise and it will be great to see Harry Potter fans getting involved in saving the world too.

“Being the first to put Harry Potter designs on an eco-friendly reusable coffee cup is really exciting and innovative.”
