Allison Watkins has joined Coolabi Group as its new director of consumer products and TV distribution. Allison – who was previously at Beano Studios – will focus on global distribution and consumer products growth for Coolabi’s portfolio which includes Clangers, Beast Quest, Poppy Cat and Scream Street.

A new Krispy Kreme beauty collection from H&A has launched in Boots. The range includes lip balms, lip glosses and a bath bomb in signature Krispy Kreme doughnut flavours such as Original Glazed, Chocolate Dreamcake and Strawberry Gloss.

Magic Light Pictures has partnered with Arla Big Milk for a year-long Gruffalo marketing campaign. Running across the grocery sector, the campaign will include monthly prize draws and chances to win Gruffalo prizes.

Silvergate Media has unveiled details on its new animated adventure TV series, Hilda, and its plans for the consumer products programme. The show premiered on Netflix last month and features the voice talents of Game of Thrones’ Bella Ramsey in the title role and a theme song by Grimes. The licensing programme will have a focus on gift, stationery, toys and collectables.

Warner Bros. is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Beetlejuice and has partnered with Hot Topic for the official launch of the merchandise programme. The range will include apparel, accessories, collectables, home décor and beauty among others.

Groovy UK has appointed Tony Lewis as sales director. He joins the company from Character World.

King Features has announced the first round of international deals for gaming property, Cuphead, brokered by UK agent Allsorts Licensing. Insert Coin Clothing will debut a line of t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats; Trademark Products will release outerwear, hats and t-shirts; while GB eye is launching posters, framed prints, mugs, badge sets and card holders.

Half Moon Bay is to create a retro Mr Men Little Miss gifting and lifestyle range across the UK, following a deal with Sanrio.

Paul Lamond Games is strengthening its football lines with a number of new additions. A new Rubik’s Cube range is branded with clubs including Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal among others, while two licensed models are now available in the 3D Stadium Puzzle range: London Olympic Stadium and St James’ Park. The Nanostars range has also added a host of football licences.

All American Licensing has signed Dr Jan Pol, veterinarian and star of The Incredible Dr Pol. The company will develop a range of food products, toys and other accessories which will feature the Dr Pol brand imprint. The initial foray into consumer products will feature a full range of traditional pet categories, as well as farm animal solutions.

Genius Brands has secured a deal with Bendon to create a line of branded colouring and activity books featuring characters from Llama Llama.

Guru Studio has signed Aurora World to develop a range of plush toys based on its preschool series, True and the Rainbow Kingdom.

Lifestyle fashion brand Cakeworthy is collaborating with Sony Pictures Entertainment and Scholastic to create a capsule collection based on the Goosebumps series.
