Levi’s powers up with Super Mario collaboration

New capsule collection mixes street style with nostalgia and launches worldwide in April.

Levi’s is bringing Nintendo’s most famous video games character – Super Mario – to a new capsule collection which mixes street style with nostalgia.

The range – which launches worldwide on April 1 – will feature Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and Princess Peach on t-shirts, hoodies, jackets and jeans, reported Fashion United.

Items will also feature Super Mario details such as small gold coins, mushrooms and stars, while Levi’s tabs will appear in special colours and buttons in red, blue, green and yellow.

In addition, there will also be tote bags, banana slings, bandanas and wallets with Super Mario all-over print, plus baseball caps, denim truckers, shorts and overalls with a Super Mario print.

“Mario has appeared in over 200 games since 1981, making him a globally recognised icon, just like Levi’s,” said the company.
