Striker Entertainment welcomes Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared to roster

The company is on board to handle worldwide merchandising and licensing of the cult YouTube show.

Blink Industries has secured Striker Entertainment to handle worldwide merchandising and licensing for its hit YouTube show, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.

Striker will oversee multiple categories of the popular series – which is also now in production as a TV show – including toys and collectables, lifestyle products, publishing and gaming among other categories.

Building on the cult YouTube show – created by Becky Sloan, Joe Pelling and Baker Terry – which has been viewed over a quarter of a billion times, Blink Industries’ new Channel 4 series will follow Red Guy, Yellow Guy and Duck as they continue their disastrous learning journey.

“Blink Industries lures the viewer in with intricately detailed costumes, unique but familiar character design, catchy yet haunting original songs, and handmade set pieces, and then pivots into what I can only describe as preschool meets Pink Floyd, it’s completely unique, resonant and translates naturally into consumer products,” commented Russell Binder, president of Striker Entertainment. “I’ve literally never seen anything quite like it… well me, and 250 million other YouTube views that is.”

Tom Stuart, executive producer at Blink Industries, added: “We hope to bring the weird, strange world of DHMIS to the incredible fans of the show, with a range of merchandise that captures the uncompromising, surprising, and satirical comedy of Becky, Jo and Baker’s vision.

“We are unreasonably excited to be working with Striker. With their vast experience and bespoke attitude, we believe they’re the perfect partners for DHMIS.”
