Charles will be stepping down after 21 years of service at the trade body.
LIMA president Charles Riotto is to retire on June 30, 2018, the trade body has announced.
Charles has been with LIMA for 21 years and, under his leadership, the body’s global footprint has expanded significantly, with international membership growth of more than 90%.
Charles established LIMA offices in Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, Japan, Mexico and the UK, as well as representation in seven additional countries.
His global plan for growing the industry has included a far-ranging programme of educational conferences, seminars and webinars under the LIMA umbrella or through strategic partnerships. This has been instrumental in the industry’s unprecedented recent international growth.
A statement from LIMA said that his ‘leadership across the industry will be missed’.
