No bridge too far for Rainbow Productions

Rainbow Productions not only successfully completed the London Bridges Challenge with the help of their licensing industry friends, but the team also smashed their fundraising target and raised almost £3,000 for industry charity, The Light Fund and mental health charity, Mind.

The ‘Bridgerfuns’ set off from Hampton Court Bridge at 9am on Friday 7 July, waving off Rights and Brands’ Mark Bezodis and Paramount’s Katie Price as they started their three-mile swim to Kingston Bridge.

Mark commented: “The swim was cold, very cold, and the big pleasure boats carrying Hampton Court Flower Show visitors thought two people bobbing along in the Thames was very funny indeed! All in all, it took us around 1h20 to swim the 3-miles, but well worth it.”

Back on dry land, the walkers endured blisters, aches, pains and the 30-degree heat to complete the 30-mile hike and made it their final destination – Tower Bridge – at 9pm.

Reflecting on the challenge, Rainbow Productions’ md Simon Foulkes said: “However hard it was at the time for all of us to complete, the challenge is absolutely awesome! 50k of walking over 26 bridges in 10 hours is a huge achievement for the Bridgerfuns and one we should all be proud of.”

Inspired by the License to Move initiative, the Rainbow team were joined on the day by treasurer of The Light Fund and Rainbow’s former md David Scott, Start Licensing’s Ian Downes, Paramount’s Alex Salisbury (and her dog Lucy), Licensing Link Europe’s Chris Taday, Rights and Brands’ Magdalena Biernat-Heikkinen, Dependable Solutions’ Rhys Fleming and retired industry legend Claire Shaw.
