Acamar readies Bing nationwide tour

Shopping centre and store tour planned in partnership with The Entertainer and Toys R Us.

Preschool brand Bing is heading out on a nationwide shopping centre and store tour in partnership with The Entertainer and Toys R Us this summer.

The experiential initiative is a key element in brand owner Acamar Films’ marketing strategy, as it looks to extend the Bing and Flop offering beyond the TV screen.

Kicking off on Thursday August 3, the tour will travel to 13 locations offering Bingsters the opportunity to meet Bing and Flop, while interacting in a themed play area with fun and games. Fans will also take home a pair of Bing ears and stickers.

Fans will also be able to share pictures of their day via social media using the hashtag #IMetBing for the chance to win a selection of Bing prizes.

Locations will include Luton, Leicester, Sheffield, Leeds, Birkenhead, Uxbridge, Norwich, Maidstone, Croydon, Basingstoke, Gloucester, Glasgow and Sunderland.

Lee Harris, head of marketing at Acamar Films, commented: “Bing continues to have enduring popularity among preschoolers both on and off screen, and we can’t wait to welcome thousands of excited Bingsters and their families to join in the fun with us this summer.

“We’re always looking for new ways to engage and excite our fans and this is a perfect way to interact with them and their families.”

Katie Gritt, retail marketing and PR manager at The Entertainer, added: “We are delighted to welcome the Bing Bunny Tour to a selection of centres, where The Entertainer is located.

“Bing character events are a huge draw to store and continue to be extremely popular so we are looking forward to adding this interactive element to our customer experience.”
