Retailers rev up for Cars 3 arrival

Primark, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Toys R Us among those backing new Disney-Pixar movie.

A number of retailers are backing the arrival of Disney-Pixar’s Cars 3, with a raft of merchandise ranging from toys through to apparel.

Primark has been promoting its new film lines on its blog, with an apparel collection featuring key characters from Lightning McQueen and Mater.

Items include pyjamas, zip up jumper, hoodies, rucksack, trainers and t-shirts.

Meanwhile, Toys R Us is celebrating the launch of Cars 3 in cinemas by giving its customers the chance to win a £500 gift card.

The retailer has been heavily promoting the initiative and the Cars 3 toy line via its website and direct marketing channels.

Tesco Direct has a number of Cars 3 items which can be personalised – these include lunch bags, water bottles, mugs, key rings, stationery sets and magnets among other items.

In addition, Tesco also has a number of exclusive Cars 3 toy lines including a McQueen v Jackson Storm RC Twin Pack, Rust Eze Play Centre and Race Track Mack.

Other new additions include a collection of small character plush, trolley backpack, bedding, alarm clock, posters, t-shirts and puzzles.

Cars 3 also has a solid presence within Argos‘ dedicated movie shop, with the retailer boasting an exclusive game for Nintendo Switch, Cars 3: Driven to Win.

Elsewhere, Sainsbury’s has a selection of Cars 3 apparel available via its Tu Clothing brand including pyjama sets and a racing driver costume.
