He-Man and Skeletor return for Moneysupermarket

Born Licensing teams with Mattel and Lionsgate for new two-minute ad.

Masters of the Universe characters He-Man and Skeletor will be back on TV screens this week in a new two-minute ad spot for Moneysupermarket.com.

The new spot follows on from the successful Epic Skeletor campaign, which was widely lauded in both the advertising and licensing industries.

Premiering on Sunday September 3 during The X-Factor, the ad shows He-Man and Skeletor recreating one of the most iconic dance scenes in cinematic history, using choreography from Dirty Dancing to the instantly recognisable song (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life.

Born Licensing worked with Masters of the Universe licensor Mattel and Lionsgate, the brand owner for Dirty Dancing on the deal.

Born Licensing director, David Born, said: ‘The last campaign was so well received that everyone involved wanted to get back together and take things to the next level.

“We added an extra layer of nostalgia by bringing in Lionsgate and the iconic choreography from their classic Dirty Dancing.”

Jo Gunn, category manager at Mattel, added: “We are very excited to see the launch of this next advert, seeing He-Man and Skeletor team up again in a fun campaign that will have everybody talking.”
