“We’re looking at what we can do differently”

Tesco’s Natalie Ackerman talks JoJo Siwa, collectable brands and key initiatives.

Tesco F&F Clothing is keen to look at what it can do differently when it comes to licensed activity, according to the retailer’s Natalie Ackerman.

Speaking to Licensing Source Book as part of the judging of the product categories for this year’s Licensing Awards, Natalie – who is licence manager for Tesco F&F Clothing – said: “We’re looking at what we can do differently, such as including DC Comics licences in our baby events.”

Natalie also highlighted some key brands which have performed well for the retailer throughout the summer months.

“JoJo Siwa has been a really good success for us, as well as Avengers Infinity War on daywear. In preschool, it’s Peppa Pig and PAW Patrol,” she said. “We have our eye on a number of girls’ collectable brands such as emoji, L.O.L. Surprise and Pikmi Pops; we worked with emoji on its Chessington World of Adventures initiative in the summer, launching a collection of childrenswear with a swing tag mechanic.

“We have some great licensed activations coming up this Christmas and the New Year, too.”
