The Source jobs board: Games Workshop

Company is looking to hire for eight roles across the UK, US and Japan.

Games Workshop is looking to significantly expand its headcount – highlighting a whopping eight roles on the Source Jobs Board currently.

The roles stretch across the UK business, as well as in the US and Japan.

The company is looking to further expand in the US with the appointment of a senior licensing manager in the territory. The successful candidate will be Games Workshop’s sole US-based licensing representative and, while coordinating efforts with the UK-based global team, they will take full day to day responsibility for the North American market. The ultimate goal is a comprehensive, global licensed consumer products programme that will put Warhammer products on the shelves of every relevant retailer.

Back in the UK, there are a host of new roles being recruited for at Games Workshop’s Nottingham office.

A licensing manager for video games will be responsible for dramatically building and growing the company’s reach and royalty income in the video games market by developing and managing new top tier partnerships and maximising existing relationships to reach full potential.

A head of licensed product marketing is being sought to help develop and deliver the strategy of building Warhammer into a global multi market IP franchise.

A head of entertainment content licensing will take accountability for building royalty income through navigating and managing new strategic partnerships with top tier companies and individuals in the entertainment industry. The successful candidate will also develop key franchises that focus on interpretations of the IP tailored to the entertainment market.

In addition, a licensed media creative manager will work to set up processes, create a network of creative talent and draw skills from an existing team of licensing experts, covering all of Games Workshop’s various IPs.

A licensing graphic designer will create tools like style guides and branding handbooks to help licensees make products that are faithful to the Warhammer brands. They will also carry out production work to design booths at licensing shows, and help the company to create ranges of merchandise and apparel.

Finally, the company is seeking a specialist in-house legal counsel to assist its licensing department with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating global licensing deals with licensing partners.
