2022 Gift Of The Year competition is open for entries

Home & Gift, Harrogate – which kicked off yesterday (Sunday 18 July) and runs until Wednesday 21 July – is the launchpad for the 44th Gift Of The Year (GOTY) competition, organised by The Giftware Association.

As the Association’s Chris Workman explains: “We’re excited to see which products and designs will be entered this year, as well as discovering what the creative industries have been hard at work at during the past year.”

He continues: “This year is all about seeing those gifts in real life and meeting the people behind the brands. We will also be celebrating the winners from the previous year, as it was a fully digital competition. We have also made a few tweaks to the back end of our website – giftoftheyear.co.uk – to make the user journey even smoother and to ensure that products can be seen in their best light. We are very excited to get out and about at trade shows again and we look forward to meeting as many entrants as possible.”

The Gift of the Year competition celebrates the best products in the home and gift industry and aims to elevate brands and products to buyers and retailers. This year’s competition will again feature 20 categories as well as the People’s Choice Award which made its debut last year. The judging was opened up to the end consumer and general public, giving products extra exposure to a buying audience. This year, all shortlisted companies will have entry to the People’s Choice award.

In addition, The Giftware Association has also released an online Gift of the Year 2021 winners brochure featuring the winners and highly commended products from last year’s competition, as well as the shortlisted companies, for the first time ever, to enable extra exposure.
