Mad Beauty, Born Licensing among UK winners at 2021 Licensing International Excellence Awards

The winners of the 2021 Licensing International Excellence Awards were unveiled yesterday (24 August), at a virtual gathering which brought together almost 1,000 industry executives from around the globe.

The 22 award winners spanned seven countries – China, Finland, France, Japan, Singapore, the UK and the US.

UK winners included Mad Beauty which picked up Best Health & Beauty Aids for its Friends Bath & Body Essentials. In addition, Direct Line and Born Licensing picked up Best Licensed Promotion for the ‘We’re On It’ campaign featuring Transformers, TMNT and Robocop.

Other big winners included PlayMonster for its Peppa Pig Grow & Play Peppa Pots (Toys/Games/Novelties 0-8); Kinnerton for its Harry Potter Chocolate Range (Food/Beverage); LEGO for its Andy Warhol LEGO Art Edition (Toys/Games/Novelties 8+); Chronicle Books for its LEGO Note Brick (Publishing/Back to the School); and Secret Lab for its Batman Gaming Chairs (Home Décor).

Peanuts Worldwide picked up The Pandemic Pivot Award for its Peanuts At Home Offerings.

The virtual event also saw Kathy Ireland, ceo and chief designer at Kathy Ireland Worldwide and Salvatore LaRocca, president, global partnerships at the National Basketball Association inducted into the Licensing Hall of Fame.

There was also a showcase of this year’s six international Rising Stars.
