Licensing continues to grow internationally, and the report highlights top agents by region, noting sales revenue of licensed consumer product generated by agents at retail. North America came in first with $78.42 billion of sales, followed by Asia-Pacific ($8.30 billion), Europe ($5.26 billion) and Latin America with $1.64 billion.

“Each agent listed in this report is incredibly important to driving forward the business of brands,” commented Amanda Cioletti, vp of content and strategy at License Global. “This report helps recognise the agencies making waves in licensed merchandise and retail revenue, but also provides significant insight into categories best suited for product market expansion, guiding strategic business decisions for the future.”

The report surveyed its respondents for key market insights, asking agents what consumer product categories make up future brand strategies for licensing agents in 2024 and beyond. Fashion and apparel received the most responses with 69% interest for future licensed consumer goods and brand extensions. Food and beverage followed (51%), then toys and games (46%), health and beauty (32%), footwear and accessories (28%), location-based entertainment (26%) and home décor (26%) were all identified as the leading categories for product expansion in the future.

In addition, the 2024 report survey forecasts up and coming consumer product categories, aiming to provide a deeper look into the strategies that will drive consumer purchases and the best ways to extend brands to create the most impact.
