Including eOne gearing up for the retail launch of The BFG licensing programme.

eOne has outlined its plans for The BFG European licensing programme ahead of its cinema arrival later this month. Retailers including Amazon, Debenhams, Foyles, Hamleys, Harrods, John Lewis, Smyths and Toymaster are all backing the property. eOne is also working closely with Spanish licensing agent Planeta Junior and DRi Licensing, the UK licensing agent for Quentin Blake’s illustrations of The BFG, to maximise retail presence in-store and secure cross category FSDU displays. A host of brand partnerships have also been secured including Bensons for Beds, Pizza Hut, Parcelforce Worldwide, Joe and Seph’s, Chiltern Railway and SSE Airtricity.

MHG Licensing has welcomed Ravensburger to the Rachel Ellen Designs licensing programme. The company will be producing a new range of children’s puzzles which will launch at Toy Fair at Olympia in January 2017 and Spring Fair in February 2017.

Sanrio has partnered with Grandi Giochi to launch a new Hello Kitty toy range. The line will feature a broad offering of toy cosmetics, as well as role-play items and dolls, including some co-branded collections with Amore Mio and Pop-Up Dolls. The collections will roll out from spring 2017 throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Henna Riaz, owner of international royalty auditing business 360 Audit, has launched HRR Entertainment – a new music and business management company. Producer Nick Hussy and singer/song writers Zach Wolfe and Kayo are just some of the latest names on the growing client roster.

Nickelodeon UK & Ireland has launched a new programming block for 11-15 year olds, Nick at Nite. It airs weekday evenings from 7pm and includes the new daily editorial bulletin, The Scoop.

Shout Factory and Studio 100 have secured an exclusive film deal to distribute new animated feature Blinky Bill: The Movie in the US.
