Marketing Comms Award finalists revealed

‘Strongest ever’ set of entries says panel as first category finalists in the Licensing Awards 2016 confirmed.

The finalists in the Licensed Marketing Communications Award category in The Licensing Awards 2016 have been announced.

This is the first of the Licensing Awards 2016 categories to be revealed, with the Retail and Product award categories to follow in the next two weeks.

Following a strong roster of self-nominations from the industry, all entries were then validated by a panel of marketing and licensing experts, chaired by Pink Key Consulting’s Richard Pink.

Best Licensed Marketing Communications Award Finalists are:

  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with Compare the Market
  • The Gruffalo Yorkshire Tree campaign with Yorkshire Tea
  • Meet the Minions with Soreen
  • Peppa Pig’s Splashathon with Tommy’s
  • Roald Dahl’s Messy Adventure with Persil
  • Shaun in the City with Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation

 

Richard commented: “This year’s entry submissions were the strongest ever, reflecting the strength and growing importance of licensing within the promotions arena.”

The Licensed Marketing Communications Award Validation Panel 2016 comprised Martin Croft (IPM); Kelvyn Gardner (LIMA UK); (Libby Grant (Bloom/CPLG); Dave Lawrence (Brave); Ian Morton (20th Century Fox); Clare Piggott (licensing consultant); Pat Reader (United Marketing) and Alex Ward (Lime).

The winner of the category will be revealed (alongside the winners of the Product, Property and Retail categories) at the Licensing Awards event on Tuesday September 13.

Taking place in The Great Room at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, almost 1,300 tickets have already been snapped up for the Licensing Awards 2016.
