The Point.1888 expands operations into Spain

Partners with Blonde Sheep Licensing to develop key brands in Spain and Portugal.

The Point.1888 has partnered with Blonde Sheep Licensing in a move which will see its business expand into Spain and Portugal.

The ambitious retail-focused brand extension company has signed a strategic partnership with Natasha Dyson from Blonde Sheep Licensing to develop the licensing opportunities for Yvonne Ellen and Corinthian 1882.

Yvonne Ellen has already enjoyed success with John Lewis after a deal was struck last year across tabletop, home fragrance and gifting, with over 50 skus on sale.

Products will be launching at Spanish retailers this year, and there has already been a lot of interest from consumers to the brand. The Point.1888 will support the current partners, working with major retail groups to open up new opportunities for existing and new licensees.

Meanwhile, Corinthian 1882 was signed in November 2017 and has a strong cultural and historical link with Real Madrid, with the brand being responsible for the club wearing its famous white kit.

As the only non-tribal, heritage football brand, The Point.1888 has identified some key partnership opportunities in Spain.

Natasha will be leading the two brands’ development with manufacturers, while The Point.1888 will be discussing the brands directly with the major retail groups to enable its retail first strategy.

Will Stewart, md of The Point.1888, commented: “We have been planning our international expansion for 18 months with a focus on finding the right partners, that share our brand values, culture and philosophy.

“Natasha has a fantastic reputation and my team are thoroughly looking forward to building our business together in Spain. Our first global conference can now be in Barcelona rather than Brentwood.”

Natasha added: “I’m thrilled to be working with Will and the team at The Point.1888 to develop Yvonne Ellen and Corinthian 1882 in Spain.

“It’s really appealing and encouraging to work with such an enthusiastic, committed and supportive team and I can’t wait to get started.”
