Pokémon’s 25th anniversary celebration continues with the release of a new single and video from Katy Perry, Electric. Katy, whose love for all things Pokémon dates back to childhood when she played the original games on her Game Boy, created the track especially for Pokémon 25: The Album. The video – which debuted on 14 May on YouTube – follows Katy and Pikachu as they take time out to enjoy nature and reflect on how they have evolved over the years. An Electric-themed merchandise collection has also launched to accompany the song and video.

Bulldog Licensing has inked a deal with luxury watch manufacturer Bamford London to create three limited edition pieces based on Big Bird, Elmo and Cookie Monster. The company will sell just 20 pieces of the Big Bird design and 50 pieces each of Elmo and Cookie Monster.

eOne is gearing up for the debut of the second series of Ricky Zoom with ViacomCBS Networks UK. The new series will launch on Nick Jr and Channel 5’s Milkshake. The broadcast success is backed by a raft of consumer products – joining master toy partner, TOMY, is Penguin (story, activity, novelty books); Redan (magazines); Character World (bedding); MV Sports (wheeled toys); Ravensburger (puzzles and games); Cooneen (nightwear and socks); Blues (daywear); and Drew Pearson (accessories).

LMI has been appointed to represent the 12 Guardians – Fire Dragon trilogy. The adventure trilogy follows the story of 16 year old Joey Wang, a street kid who is unexpectedly drawn into a mysterious group of heroes, the 12 Guardians of Shanguo.

Gift Concept Products has appointed Licensing Matters Global as the licensing agent for Marcus & Marcus in APAC. LMG will be seeking partners in categories including children’s fashion, toys and STEM, bags and luggage, bedding, toddler and infant and home and kitchen for the character brand.

Coolabi Group has revealed that its preschool show, Clangers is now available on China’s major VOD channels, following a deal by Chinese animation company Fantawild. The show is now available on a host of platforms including Beijing-based iQiyi, media giant Tencent Video, streamer Youku, digital platform Mango TV, mobile video service NewTV and IPTV operator BesTV. 78 episodes from series one and two are being uploaded across 19 days, with new episodes coming daily leading up to Children’s Day on 1 June.

Brainbase has launched two new products – Brainbase File and Brainbase Vault – which will accompany its licensing management platform, Brainbase Assist to form the first complete product suite to manage every stage of the IP lifecycle.

Production on Disney’s live action musical comedy Disenchanted, the sequel to the studio’s Oscar-nominated Enchanted, is now underway. It features the highly anticipated return of the hopelessly romantic Giselle (Amy Adams), the princess from the fairy tale world of Andalasia bandished to Manhattan who found her real Prince Charming in divorce lawyer, Robert Philip (Patrick Dempsey). Disenchanted picks up the story 15 years later, as Giselle moves to the suburb of Monroeville with Robert and their teenage daughter, Morgan.

Hasbro has teamed up with Right Angle Entertainment to adapt board game CLUE into an immersive experience in the US. CLUE Live – An Outdoor Walking Experience sees guests become detectives to solve the mystery of who murdered the elusive Mr Boddy. It will launch in June in secret locations in Los Angeles, while residencies are also planned for New York, Chicago, Washington DC and Atlanta.
