Apparel licensee receives special award at Tesco Global Suppliers Conference.
Aykroyd & Sons picked up a special 2016 Tesco Global Suppliers Award at the grocer’s recent conference.
The apparel licensee was the only supplier of licensed goods to be honoured and there were just six accolades handed out on the day.
Over 500 global suppliers attended the annual Tesco Global Suppliers Conference, which was held at London’s ExCeL on March 2.
Sion Aykroyd, sales and licensing executive, collected the award from Richard Price, ceo of F&F Clothing at Tesco, and Ally Rose, F&F Clothing sourcing director (pictured).
Sion told The Source: “Collecting the award on stage in front of industry leaders was a very proud moment for me.
“My thanks go out to all of my team who are involved with the Tesco account, our global sourcing partners and, of course, everyone at Aykroyds.
“It’s a joint effort from all. ‘No one tries harder for customers’ is engraved on our award and I think this speaks volumes.”
The certificate also came with a special message from Rosie Robbins, head of buying essentials, and her team.
