Company now has a team of 37 supporting 70 clients around the world from Asian, US and European offices.
Dependable Solutions is celebrating 15 years of working within the licensing business, with president Marty Malysz saying he is looking forward to “15 more”.
Founded back in 2005, the company enjoyed initial success with Jesse James, who was starring in West Coast Choppers on TV at the time. Its first licensee client was Shaw Creations, which made themed umbrellas licensed from Nickelodeon and Disney among other entertainment brands.
“I remember our little 10×10 booth with pop up banners at the Javits Center in New York for Licensing Expo was a little crowded and very excited,” commented Marty Malysz, president of DSI.
The company’s initial systems organised contracts, finances and royalties. DSI’s international business started to take off in 2007, signing Australia-based Velocity Brand Management to help streamline its sports brands.
Finding that its clients were demanding an integrated solution, DSI branched out to creative compliance in 2008 to manage and capture the history of the entire approval process. Accounts with the likes of Sanrio, Elvis Presley Enterprises and Gmodelo were added to the portfolio.
The move into Europe came next, with initial clients including Global Trademark Licensing and Nike, as well as Chelsea FC, SEGA and LEGO Systems. A UK office quickly opened to support DSI’s EU clients.
Today, the company has a team of 37 personnel supporting 70 clients around the world from its Asian, US and European offices.
Marty continued: “We know that hard work and steadfast dedication from our employees delivering superior customer service exists throughout our entire organisation.
“We dedicate ourselves to constant product innovation and manufacturing efficiency to provide clients with high-quality service software solutions. We look forward to 15 more.”
