Destination Star Trek to return to Birmingham’s NEC

Europe’s largest Trek convention returns to venue from October 19-21.

Europe’s largest official Star Trek convention – Destination Star Trek – will boldly go to Birmingham’s NEC this weekend.

Taking place from Friday October 19 to Sunday October 21, over 40 Star Trek actors from across the franchise will be joining the expedition, with three stages of guest interviews.

Visitors will be given the chance to fully immerse themselves in the Star Trek universe, with a roster of actors, creatives and authors, plus the largest gathering of the Star Trek: Discovery principle case members seen outside the US.

Featured guests will include William Shatner (Captain James T Kirk), Walter Koenig (Pavel Chekov) and Nichelle Nichols (Lt Uhura) among others.

In addition to the guest appearances, there will also be full-size replicas of the bridges of the original U.S.S. Enterprise and The Next Generation U.S.S. Enterprise; a red carpet premier of What We Left Behind, the Deep Space Nine documentary; Star Trek: Discovery Mirror Universe Props and Costume exhibit; an appearance from real-life astronaut Fred Haise; a fully playable exhibition on the history of the Star Trek video games; and tickets to Being William Shatner and Mirror Mirror themed evening parties.

There will also be exclusive event merchandise available.
