Retail Monster snaps up Oddbods licensing rights

Licensing and brand extension agency acquires UK and Ireland licensing rights.

Global licensing and brand extension agency Retail Monster has acquired the UK and Ireland licensing rights for One Animation’s Oddbods.

Retail Monster will now be securing licensing partnerships across a full portfolio of product categories including ancillary toys, back to school and stationery, publishing, food and beverage, gifting and novelties, promotions and live events.

“We’re very excited to welcome the Oddbods to our portfolio; not only is the show exceptionally funny, but it also has a great core message, which encourages kids to celebrate their own individuality and that of others, at a time that resonates particularly strongly with fans today,” said Retail Monster’s Gemma Witts. “The truly eye-watering audience numbers are testament to this and we can’t wait to get started on translating the fun and humour of the show into relevant and engaging product formats and brand experiences.”

Rob Spindley, svp commercial development US and EMEA at One Animation, continued: “With over 80 broadcasters on board and a whopping 12 billion views on YouTube to date, Oddbods is soaring.

“The show’s storylines and themes offer huge scope for some incredible product and brand activations, so we look forward to collaborating with the expert team at Retail Monster to bring the show’s unique brand of fun and humour to life.”
