Shopkins takes over retail for half term

Promotions and events running across the week with Asda and Hamleys.

Successful collectables brand Shopkins is the subject of a number of retail initiatives this week to tie in with the half term holidays.

Toy partner Flair has put together a tour of Hamleys stores across the country.

It has already visited Dublin and Glasgow, with visits to Lakeside (February 17), Manchester (February 19) and Regent Street (February 21) also planned.

Activities include colouring sheets, pass the parcel, photo opportunities with Shopkins characters and a quiz. In addition, goody bags will include sweets, posters, stickers, sample packs, Shopkins magazines, birthday cards, balloons and a special Shopkins certificate.

In addition, Shopkins is at the forefront of Asda’s half term promotions, with cross category space in stores as well as a national radio ad and a special brand video.

Vicky Hill, brand manager for Shopkins at Bulldog Licensing, told The Source: “As Shopkins goes from strength to strength, the retail events we have running all over the country this half term are a great way for our Shopkins fans to engage with their favourite brand – meeting the characters, taking part in Shopkins activities and swapping their characters to complete their collections, as well as receiving Shopkins goodies.”
