Exclusive photos of all the nominees and last night’s Young Professionals event.

Last night saw some of the young talent in the licensing industry gather for the LIMA Young Professionals summer networking event – and to also find out the six nominees for this year’s LIMA UK Rising Stars award.

The Source was invited along to document the evening – and you can check out the exclusive picture gallery of the nominees and some of the attendees below.

Now in its third year, the event is designed to recognise excellence among junior licensing industry professionals.

And, for the first time, this year the LIMA award will be presented as part of the Licensing Awards, with each of the six nominees getting a free ticket to the evening on September 13.

The 2016 finalists are (pictured above from left to right):

  • Georgina Huckle, sales and marketing executive, Rainbow Productions
  • Eloise Jones, buyer girlswear and babywear, George @ Asda
  • Julia O’Brien, licensing executive, Turner Broadcasting Systems
  • Talia Tester, licensing manager, Carte Blanche Greetings
  • Sole Puerto, creative services manager, Bulldog Licensing
  • Sarah Patel, retail marketing executive, Nickelodeon

“The new talent coming through in UK licensing is truly remarkable. All of those submitted have shown true achievement and promise of more to come,” said Kelvyn Gardner, managing director of LIMA UK.

“The judges found that picking just six from a field of really high-quality candidates was a desperately hard job.

“I’m proud to note that their selection also reflects favourably on our industry’s great record of recognising and developing careers for women.”

Johanne Broadfield, vp of Cartoon Network Enterprises EMEA – which hosted the event at its London HQ – added: “It was a privilege for us to host this year’s LIMA YPN Summer Party at our London HQ.

“The UK’s licensing industry has a wealth of young talent and it’s crucial that we come together and celebrate their outstanding achievements. I’d like to wish all the nominees the best of luck for the awards ceremony in September.”

The Licensing Awards takes place on September 13 in The Great Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
