Posh Paws on board with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home

The Point.1888 appoints company as exclusive soft toy licensee for charity.

The Point.1888 has begun to build on the licensing programme for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home – appointing Post Paws International as the exclusive soft toy licensee.

The deal marks the first charity licence for Posh Paws, with product launching at London Toy Fair in 2018 and hitting shelves in spring/summer 2018.

Featured in the range will be a selection of dog and cat plush products – the characters will be based on real life case studies of some of the thousands of animals that pass through the charity’s doors each year.

There will also be a selection of soft toys representing the most popular breeds in the country, with the full range being available in a variety of sizes and price points.

Posh Paws’ brand and marketing Director, Lauren Shipman, commented: “Battersea Dogs & Cats Home works tirelessly to care, nurse and rehome thousands of sick, stray and unwanted pets each year, and animal lovers owe a lot to their efforts.

“Posh Paws holds the charity’s work in great regard, and we’re thrilled to be their exclusive plush licensee, bringing the nation’s favourite four-legged friends to stores for such a good cause.”

Jack Allen, senior brand executive at The Point.1888, added: “Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is a brand that we feel very passionately about and a partnership with Posh Paws is a perfect fit.

“One of the many reasons we are excited about this range is due to the quality and variety of plush that Posh Paws can create. We’re looking forward to the launch and allowing consumers to connect with real characters from the Home.”

For Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, the new partnership will enable it to further fund its work and help even more dogs and cats find their new homes.

Amy Zalin, licensing manager from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, commented: “Battersea is very proud to be partnering with Posh Paws, a market leader in plush, and we can’t wait to see the products on shelves.”
