The Light Fund quiz night raises £15k+

Over 300 industry execs attend fundraising evening at Arsenal’s Emirates stadium.

Last night’s quiz in aid of The Light Fund saw around £15,000 being raised for the industry charity – while ITV walked away with the coveted victor’s trophy.

The event – held in the Royal Oak Suite at Arsenal’s Emirates stadium – was attended by over 300 industry execs from a variety of companies.

These included Allsorts, Penguin, Wild & Wolf, Acamar Films, Nickelodeon, BBC Worldwide, eOne, Bulldog Licensing, DHX Brands, CPLG, Imagine8, Jazwares, Cartoon Network, Beano Studios, Hasbro, Dreamtex, Character World, Universal Brand Development, Amscan, Danilo, Licensing Link, Pink Key Consulting, Forever Collectibles, Hachette Children’s Books, Funko UK and Rainbow Designs among others.

The winner – with a grand total of 168 points – was the team from ITV, handily called ITVictory.

Second place went to the team from Copyrights – Padding-Team – with 161 points, followed by Coolabi & The Gang with 160.

Three teams finished on 157 points – The Dog’s Bollocks (Bulldog Licensing), Quizzie Rascals (Danilo) and Fluff Monsters (Rainbow Productions).

The top ten was completed by The Knowledge (Pink Key Consulting, Licensing Link, The Brand Director, Radhwan Ltd) and Trivia Newton John (Danilo), both with 154 points; Captain Kirk & The Klingons (Imagine8) with 153 and The Twits (Rainbow Designs and DRi) with 152.

At the other end of the table, the Bows & Hoes team from Nickelodeon finished with just 93 points – becoming the proud new owners of the ‘Pants of Doom’.

A prize also went to the team from GB eye, Character World and Sony for the best team name – Eye Play in Bed.

Some of the raffle winners included John McInnerny from Allsorts Licensing; Shelley Nicoli from Hachette, Aimee Vanhien from Topps and Linda Pooley from Copyrights.
