Scooby-Doo Virtual Run series plans unveiled

Warner Bros. Consumer Products reveals new initiative as part of Doo Good programme.

A new Scooby-Doo Virtual Run series is due to kick off in September as part of the wider Doo Good programme.

The new initiative is a collaboration between Warner Bros. Consumer Products and SON Events, aimed at families and their furry friends, as well as athletes of all abilities.

The virtual run series – which is in support of Warner Bros.’ social responsibility initiative Scooby-Doo Doo Good and aiming to bring attention to animal welfare – will include 5k and 10k events running in September and October.

Participants will receive medals and branded merchandise, while four-legged finishers will get their own special prizes.

“Together with the team behind the Scooby-Doo Virtual Runs, we’re excited to see Scooby fans, runners, walkers and many furry friends across the country come together to participate in these virtual fun run events this fall,” said Maryellen Zarakas, svp of franchise management and marketing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

Mark Knutson from SON Events added: “We’re thrilled to help offer a world where everyone can set out not only to reach for their own personal best, but also to help others achieve theirs – bring attention to a great cause for our pet friends – and while having a great time doing it.”
