Production is due to open at The Adelphi Theatre in May 2021.
A new musical version of Back to the Future will be driving into London’s West End next year.
The new production is due to run at the Adelphi Theatre from May 14 to September 26, 2021.
It is a transfer for a production which opened at the Manchester Opera House in March, reported The Guardian.
It has been created by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, who made the original movie trilogy, and brings the characters of Marty McFly (Michael J Fox) and ‘Doc’ Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd) to the stage.
The musical is based on the first film in the trilogy – which was released in 1985 and grossed £279 million at the worldwide box office – which sees Marty accidentally travel back to 1955 in Doc’s DeLorean.
Olly Dobson – who starred in Bat Out of Hell in the West End – will play Marty.
